April 15th, 2017 - Back with the COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS), Jon Mitchell was one of 20 Super Late Models signed in at I-30 Speedway (Little Rock, Arkansas) on Saturday evening for the $2,500-to-win A-Main. Registering a 3rd place finish in his 8-lap heat race, Mitchell earned the 7th-starting spot for the feature. Falling short of a Top 10 finish, Jon slipped back to a 12th place outing in the 40-lap affair.
April 8th, 2017 - Following the COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS), Jon Mitchell invaded Batesville Motor Speedway (Batesville, Arkansas) on Friday for the event co-sanctioned with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS). With 45 entries on hand for the two-day Bad Boy 98, Mitchell registered a 10th place finish in his heat race sending him into the B-Main for another shot at the feature. Transferring the Top 3, Jon fell short with a 11th place outing forcing him to rely on a provisional into the $20,000-to-win A-Main on Saturday night. Rolling off 26th, Mitchell held his spot for all 98-laps registering a 26th place outing.
April 1st, 2017 - On Friday night Jon Mitchell traveled to Timberline Speedway (Maud, Texas) for the COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) season opener. In a field of 24 cars, Mitchell secured his spot into the opening night feature with a 2nd place finish in his heat behind Zach McMillan. Earning the 4th-starting position for the feature, Mitchell dropped two spots in the 35-lapper recording a 6th place finish.
March 26th, 2017 - Running with the World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series, Jon Mitchell made the trip to Lonestar Speedway (Kilgore, Texas) on Sunday for the $8,000-to-win A-Main. Drawing 27 Super Late Models, Mitchell held his 8th-starting spot in his heat sending him into the B-Main. Needing to place 3rd or better to make the show, Jon edged his way with a 3rd place finish. Rolling off 12th, Jon Mitchell improved eight positions in the 40-lapper reeling a 13th place finish in a stout field of drivers.
March 18th, 2017 - Behind the wheel of the Healthcare Express #5 Super Late Model, Jon Mitchell visited Ark-La-Tex Speedway (Vivian, Louisiana) on Friday for the rescheduled Pelican. With 25 Super Late Models signed in for the unsanctioned contest, Mitchell locked his spot into the $5,000-to-win A-Main with a heat race win. March 4th, 2017 - On Thursday night returning with the United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS), Jon Mitchell was one of 39 Open Wheel Modifieds signed in at Ark-La-Tex Speedway (Vivian, Louisiana) for the 6th annual Cajun Classic presented by Horseshoe Bossier City. Starting in 3rd in his heat race, Mitchell started the night off by storming to a 8-lap heat race win locking him into the 5th-starting spot for the main event. With $2,000 on the line, Jon slipped back to a 15th place outing in the opening night feature.
February 24th, 2017 - Making his first start of the season in the Open Wheel Modified division, Jon Mitchell traveled to Jackson Motor Speedway (Byram, Mississippi) on Friday night for the United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS) sanctioned event. In a field of 47 cars, Mitchell placed 2nd in his heat sending him into the B-Main. Starting on the pole, Jon cruised to an 18-lap consolation win putting him 13th on the starting rundown for the feature. Working his way into the Top 10, Jon jumped up three spots in the 40-lapper posting a 10th place finish.
February 11th, 2017 - Jon Mitchell opened the 2017 racing season on Saturday night at Lonestar Speedway (Kilgore, Texas) piloting his Healthcare Express #5 Open Wheel Modified for the season-opener. In a field of 23 cars, Mitchell locked his spot into the A-Main with a 3rd place finish in his heat. Advancing through the field seven spots, Jon Mitchell reeled in a runner-up finish behind Ty Lowe with Donnie Powers, Tye Clampitt, and Kyle Taylor rounding out the Top 5.
January 12th, 2017 - Competing in 39 events during the 2016 season, Jon Mitchell reeled in three wins aboard his Healthcare Express #5 Super Late Model. With the weather determining the outcome of ten of scheduled dates, Mitchell posted 26 Top 10 finishes and 16 Top 5 outings. He also finished second in the Southern United Professional Racing (SUPR) series point standings.

November 26th, 2016 - Wrapping up the P&W Sales Southern United Professional Racing (SUPR) season, Jon Mitchell made the trip to Lonestar Speedway (Kilgore, Texas) on Saturday night for the Lone Star Turkey Nationals. In a field of 21 Super Late Models, Mitchell landed a podium finish in the main event. Battling for a $3,000 payday in the feature, Jon advanced four positions posting a 3rd place finish behind Morgan Bagley and Tyler Erb with Zach McMillan and B.J. Robinson rounding out the Top 5.
November 19th, 2016 - Competing in the 2nd annual Bash on the Bayou, Jon Mitchell headed to Leesville 171 Speedway (Leesville, Louisiana) on Saturday night for the unsanctioned event. With 26 Super Late Models signed in, Mitchell secured his spot into the $3,000-to-win A-Main with a heat race victory. Rolling off 2nd for the 40-lap feature, Jon was battling in a Top 5 spot until getting taken out by another competitor forcing him to pull off.
November 5th, 2016 - Closing out the Mississippi State Championship Challenge Series (MSCCS) season, Jon Mitchell visited Jackson Motor Speedway (Byram, Mississippi) on Saturday night for the All-American 50. With 33 Super Late Models signed in, Jon failed to qualify in the Top 8 in qualifying transferring him into the B-Main. Sending the Top 4 into the feature, Mitchell landed a runner-up finish behind Michael Arnold. Starting in 13th for the $5,000-to-win A-Main, Jon Mitchell improved three spots in the 50-lapper posting a 10th place finish.
October 29th, 2016 - Running in the Louisiana State Championships, Jon Mitchell made the trip Baton Rouge Raceway (Baker, Louisiana) on Saturday night for the unsanctioned event. After leading the first 30 laps and recieving his spot back after a lap car spun him out, Mitchell suffered suspension issues late in the race from the tangle-up with the lap car forcing him to retire early.
October 22nd, 2016 - Piloting the Healthcare Express #5 Super Late Model, Jon Mitchell invaded Leesville 171 Speedway (Leesville, Louisiana) on Saturday for the regular night of racing. In a field of 11 cars, Mitchell landed a runner-up finish behind Rob Litton locking his spot into the main event. January 10th, 2016 - Attending a total of twenty-nine events during the 2015 season, Jon Mitchell captured seven feature wins and also his second straight P&W Sales Southern Unted Professional Racing Series (SUPR) points title. With the weather affecting six of his scheduled dates, Mitchell reeled in twenty-two top ten finishes and sixteen top five outings.
