1May 31st, 2014 - Jon entered the 8th Annual Doug Murphrey Memorial at Ark-La-Tex Speedway (Vivian, Louisiana) over the weekend, which posted a $10,000 top prize for competitors. A talented field of eighty-five entries were on hand for the event, and Friday night's program was highlighted by double heat races. In the first heat Mitchell powered his #5 Team 5 Enterprise/HealthCARE Express Open Wheel Modified to the heat race win, and in the second heat he raced to a fourth place finish. His point tally at the end of the night positioned him twelfth overall, earning him the third starting position for Saturday nights qualifier.

On Saturday evening Jon finished second in his qualifier to lock into the eighth starting spot for the finale. In the main event Jon battled the setup as he slipped backwards to a twelfth place finish in the final rundown.

1May 25th, 2014 - The weekend's doubleheader with the P&W Sales Southern United Professional Racers (SUPR) tour opened for Team 5 Enterprise on Saturday night as the series returned to Sabine Motor Speedway (Many, Louisiana) for the first time since 2008. A $2,000-to-win event was contest as twenty-six Super Late Models filled the pit area. Jon won his preliminary heat race to lock into the third starting position for the feature. Mitchell took over the top spot early in the event and fought off a hard charging Ray Moore in lap traffic to score the victory over Moore, Rob Litton, Patrik Daniel, and Kevin Sitton.

On Saturday night Jon enjoyed another great outing as he topped the event at Lonestar Speedway (Kilgore, Texas) for the weekend sweep, marking his third win of the 2014 campaign. With nineteen entries in the pits Jon started his night by racing to the win in his heat race from the third starting spot, which positioned him on the outside pole for the feature event. Mitchell went on to race his way to victory in the 40 lap finale over Rob Litton, Kevin Sitton, Patrik Daniel, and Rick Duke Jr.

1May 17th, 2014 - It was back to business with the COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) Super Late Models over the weekend with a doubleheader at Timberline Speedway (Corley, Texas).

With $2,000 on the line for Friday night's show eighteen entries converged on the 3/8 mile oval. Heat race action saw Mitchell picking up the win, earning him the third starting position on the grid for the feature. He battled amongst the top five for much of the event before crossing the finish line in third behind race winner, Kyle Beard, and Patrik Daniel. Billy Moyer Jr., and Timothy Culp rounded out the top five finishers.

Saturday night saw another $2,000-to-win event contested as nineteen entries registered for battle. Heat race struggles saw Mitchell claiming a sixth place finish to lock into the sixteenth starting spot for the 30 lap finale. Jon battled the handle on his #5 Team 5 Enterprise/HealthCARE Express/MasterSbilt Super Late Model to a seventeenth place finish.

1May 10th, 2014 - Jon set out to enter a pair of COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) events over the weekend. Unfortunately, Friday night's event at Timberline Speedway (Corley, Texas) would fall victim to Mother Nature.

Saturday night found the team pitted at Ark-La-Tex Speedway (Vivian, Louisiana) for a $2,000-to-win event with the tour. Jon narrowly missed the transfer into the main event via heat race action, leaving him to a run a b-main. He went on to finish third in the b-main which locked him into the seventeenth starting spot for the 40 lap feature. In the feature Mitchell advanced a few spots early before retiring to a nineteenth place finish in the final rundown.

1May 8th, 2014 - Current SUPR Late Model Series point leader and chassis builder Jon Mitchell of Texarcana, TX joined Dirt Cast on the Renegade Racing Fuels hotline to talk about his start to 2014, winning at Baton Rouge Raceway, chasing the championship, racing both the late model and the modified, concentrating on the late model, wanting to win the SUPR championship, the competition in the region, his business, sticking to bigger modified shows and his expectations for the season.

1May 3rd, 2014 - The team entered a single event with the P&W Sales Southern United Professional Racers (SUPR) Super Late Models over the weekend.

A $2,000-to-win race was contested on Saturday night at Greenville Speedway (Greenville, Mississippi). With twenty-three entries in the pits Jon charged to the win in his heat race, locking him into the third starting spot for the main event. Mitchell went on to register a second place finish behind race winner, Chad Thrash. Jeff Chanler, Ronnie Stuart, and Patrik Daniel rounded out the top five finishers.
