May 28th, 2016 - Piloting the W&W Timber #5 Super Late Model, Jon Mitchell headed to Boothill Speedway (Greenwood, Louisiana) on Saturday night for the P&W Sales Southern United Professional Racing (SUPR) show. In a field of twenty-two cars, Mitchell secured the pole position starting spot for the feature with a heat race win. Capturing his first victory of the season, Jon Mitchell held off the field for the entire distance of the A-Main pocketing a $2,000 payday. Ray Moore, B.J. Robinson, Rob Litton, and Ronny Adams trailed Mitchell across the finish line.

May 21st, 2016 - Making the trek to Ark-La-Tex Speedway (Vivian, Louisiana) on Friday night, Jon Mitchell was one of twenty-seven entries signed in for the P&W Sales Southern United Professional Racing (SUPR) sanctioned event. Capturing a heat race win early in the night, Mitchell secured his spot into the $2,000-to-win show. Hanging on to a podium finish in the action-packed A-Main, Jon notched a runner-up finish behind Ray Moore with Tyler Erb, Morgan Bagley, and Timothy Culp rounding out the top five.

Continuing with the SUPR series, Mitchell traveled to I-30 Speedway (Little Rock, Arkansas) on Saturday night for another $2,000-to-win A-Main. May 14th, 2016 - Jon Mitchell headed to Greenville Speedway (Greenville, Mississippi) on Friday night for the event co-sanctioned by the COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) and the Mississippi State Championship Challenge Series (MSCCS). With thirty-six Super Late Models signed in, Mitchell failed to hit a transfer spot in his heat transferring him into the B-Main. Capturing a consolation win, Jon earned a 22nd place starting spot for the feature. With $2,000 on the line, Jon Mitchell stormed through the field fourteen spots reeling in a solid 8th place finish.

The following night the CCSDS and MSCCS followers traveled to Magnolia Motor Speedway (Columbus, Mississippi) for a $2,500-to-win show. In another stacked field of forty-three cars, Mitchell logged a 5th place finish in his heat transferring him into the B-Main. Cruising to a consolation victory, Jon earned a 17th place starting spot for the feature. Improving three spots in the 40-lapper, Jon Mitchell recorded a 14th place finish.

May 7th, 2016 - Following the COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS), Jon Mitchell headed to Diamond Park Speedway (Nashville, Arkansas) on Friday night for the $2,000-to-win feature. Competing in a field of twenty-three cars, Mitchell earned an 11th place starting spot for the feature. Gaining three positions in the 35-lapper, Jon recorded an 8th place finish.

Saturday night brought Mitchell to Ark-La-Tex Speedway (Vivian, Louisiana) for another $2,000-to-win CCSDS show. In a field of thirty-four cars, Jon was slated to start 8th for the main event via preliminary events. Falling two positions in the 40-lap affair, Jon Mitchell logged a 10th place outing.
