March 31, 2018 - COMP Cams Super Dirt Series Weekend for Jon Mitchell
1Jon Mitchell returned with the COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) on Friday night at Timberline Speedway (Maud, Texas) for the $2,000-to-win A-Main. Falling short of a Top-10 finish, Mitchell posted a 14th place outing in the 40-lap affair.

On Saturday night at Lonestar Speedway (Kilgore, Texas) for the Bunny Hop Spring Nationals, Mitchell started the night off with heat race victory positioning him on the pole for the main event. With $2,500 on the line, Jon dropped one spot to place 2nd behind Hunter Rasdon with Jack Sullivan, Tanner Kellick, and Morgan Bagley. (Woody Hampton photo)

March 23, 2018 - Hard Ride for Jon Mitchell at Old No. 1 Speedway
Making his first start of the season in the Super Late Model ranks, Jon Mitchell headed to Old No. 1 Speedway (Harrisburg, Arkansas) on Friday evening for the COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) opener.

Drawing 27 cars for the $2,000 top prize, Mitchell broke a rear end in his heat race forcing him to pull out his secondary car for the feature. Starting in 20th, Jon had worked his way into the Top-10 and was battling for a Top-5 spot until his right-rear slipped over the cushion on lap 23 sending him on his roof. He was able to walk away from the scary incident unharmed.

March 2, 2018 - Jon Mitchell Goes into Battle with USMTS
1 On Friday night Jon Mitchell followed the United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS) to Kennedale Speedway Park (Kennedale, Texas) for the third round of the Summit USTMS Winter Speedweeks presented by MSD Performance. Holding his spot in his 8-lap heat, Mitchell logged a 5th place finish transferring him into the B-Main. Sending the Top-5 into the opening night feature, Jon landed a runner-up finish behind Chase Allen locking him into the 16th-starting position for the A-Main. Breaking into the Top-10, Jon Mitchell gained eight spots in the 35-lap affair reeling in an 8th place finish.

Mother Nature rained out Saturday and Sunday’s USMTS events at Superbowl Speedway (Greenville, Texas) and Grayson County Speedway (Bells, Texas).
