November 24, 2018 - Jon Mitchell Ends 2018 Season With Topless Turkey Nationals at Lonestar
1Saturday night found Jon Mitchell in action at Lonestar Speedway (Kilgore, Texas) for the Comp Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) season finale. With 21 cars on hand for the Topless Turkey Nationals, Mitchell laid down the second fastest time overall in qualifying but failed to record a lap in his heat race. Starting the $5,000-to-win A-Main in 20th, Jon was an early retiree from the 40-lap affair while being credited with a 16th place outing.

November 17, 2018 - Mitchell Rolls to Second Win of the Season in John Baumann Memorial at Timberline
1Jon Mitchell returned behind the wheel of his W&W Timber #5 Healthcare Express/ MB Customs Modified on Saturday night for the John Baumann Memorial at Timberline Speedway (Maud, Texas). Starting on the front row of his heat, Mitchell streaked to a heat race victory positioning him on the pole for the feature. Leading wire-to-wire, Jon Mitchell cruised to his second win of the season while picking up the $1,000 payday.

November 3, 2018 - Jon Mitchell Attends Southern Nationals at Kennedale Speedway Park
1Friday night saw Jon Mitchell in action in the Open Wheel Modified ranks for the Inaugural Summit Southern Nationals at Kennedale Speedway Park (Kennedale, Texas). With 70 United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS) entries on hand for a pair of heat races, Mitchell held his spot for all 10-laps in his first heat to place 5th. Rolling off 6th for his second heat, Jon logged a 6th place finish positioning him 41st in total points.

Slated to roll off near the tail of his Last Chance Showdown on Saturday, Mitchell was a scratch from the 15-lap consolation event.

October 27, 2018 - Mitchell Bags Runner-up Finish in Spooky 30 at Timberline Speedway
1On Saturday night Jon Mitchell traveled to Timberline Speedway (Corley, Texas) for the Spooky 30. Jumping up one spot in his heat, Mitchell recorded a 3rd place finish positioning him 5th on the starting grid for the A-Main. Breaking into a podium spot, Jon improved three positions to place 2nd.

October 20, 2018 - Podium Finish in Spooky 50 at Chatham Speedway
1Jon Mitchell was one of 32 Louisiana Late Model Racing Series entries signed in at Chatham Speedway (Chatham, Louisiana) on Friday for the two-day special. Falling short of a Top-10 finish in the opening night feature, Mitchell slipped back to an 18th place outing in the 40-lap affair.

October 6, 2018 - Mitchell Records 9th Place Finish in Gumbo Nationals Finale at Greenville
1Friday night found Jon Mitchell in action at Greenville Speedway (Greenville, Mississippi) for the two-day Gumbo Nationals. With 36 Mississippi State Championship Challenge Series (MSCCS) entries on hand, Jon failed to qualify into the opening night feature via his heat race transferring him into the B-Main. Cruising to a consolation victory, Mitchell earned the 18th-starting position for the $4,000-to-win A-Main. Dropping two spots in the 30-lap affair, Jon logged a 20th place outing.

Returning on Saturday, Mitchell started the night off with a heat race victory positioning him 2nd on the starting grid for the finale. With $8,000 on the line, Jon Mitchell dropped seven spots in the 70-lapper to place 9th.

September 22, 2018 - Top 10 Finish in Cotton Pickin' 100 Opener at Magnolia
1On Friday evening Jon Mitchell invaded Magnolia Motor Speedway (Columbus, Mississippi) for the two-day Magnolia State Cotton Pickin’ 100. Drawing a stout field of 57 Super Late Models for the unsanctioned weekend, Mitchell followed up the fastest time in his qualifying group with a 2nd place finish in his heat behind Billy Moyer. 1The following night for the $12,000 top prize, Jon fell one spot short of a transfer position in his heat race with a 4th place finish. Transferring into the B-Main for one more shot at the main event, Mitchell suffered mechanical issues that dropped him back to a 11th place outing.

September 2, 2018 - Mitchell Bags Top 5 Finish in CCSDS Doubleheader at Greenville Speedway
1Jon Mitchell was one of 23 COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) entries signed into Greenville Speedway (Greenville, Mississippi) on Saturday night for the two-day event. Following the fourth fastest time in his qualifying group, Jon posted a 4th place finish in his 8-lap heat locking his spot into the opening night feature. Breaking into the Top 10, Mitchell posted a 7th place finish in the 35-lap affair.

Returning on Sunday evening for the $2,000 top prize, Jon landed a 3rd place finish in his heat positioning him 7th on the starting grid for the A-Main. Passing two cars in the 30-lapper, Jon Mitchell notched a 5th place finish behind Brian Rickman, B.J. Robinson, Jack Sullivan, and Charlie Cole.

July 21, 2018 - Jon Mitchell Follows COMP Cams to Boothill Speedway
1Jon Mitchell made the trip to Boothill Speedway (Greenwood, Louisiana) on Saturday night following the COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS). In a field of 16 cars, Mitchell secured his spot into the $2,500-to-win A-Main with a 2nd place finish in his heat behind Cade Dillard. June 30, 2018 - Mitchell Kicks Off CCSDS Weekend in the Sooner State
1Returning with the COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS), Jon Mitchell invaded Tri-State Speedway (Pocola, Oklahoma) on Friday night kicking off the COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) tripleheader. In a field of 19 cars, Mitchell locked his spot into the opening night feature with a 6th place finish in his heat. Running into mechanical issues, Jon was an early retiree from the 40-lap affair while being credited with a 19th place outing.

1The following night at Salina Highbanks Speedway (Pryor Creek, Oklahoma) for the event co-sanctioned with the Lucas Oil Midwest Late Model Racing Association (MLRA), Jon edged his way into the A-Main with a 4th place finish in his heat. On Saturday night for the second round of the ARMI Freedom Classic, Mitchell notched a 4th place finish in his heat positioning him 15th on the starting grid for the finale. With $5,000 on the line, Jon Mitchell slipped back to a 18th place outing.

June 9, 2018 - Jon Mitchell Registers Podium Finish in Lonestar Modified Special

May 27, 2018 - Top 5 Finish in Modified at Boothill Speedway; 2nd Place Finish at Lonestar
1Powering the HealthCare Express #5 Open Wheel Modified, Jon Mitchell visited Boothill Speedway (Greenwood, Louisiana) on Saturday evening for the Memorial Day Shootout. Coming in the Top-5 in the feature, Mitchell bagged a 5th place finish behind David Winslet, Brett Frazier, Jerry Jackson, and Tyler Townsend.

The following night at Lonestar Speedway (Kilgore, Texas) in a field of 17 cars, Mitchell landed a 2nd place finish in the feature trailing Zack McMillan across the finish line with Dustin Hyde, Tye Clampitt, and Kyle Pleasant completing the Top-5 finishers.

1After Mother Nature wiped out the United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS) sanctioned event at I-30 Speedway (Little Rock, Arkansas) on Friday, Jon Mitchell headed to Ark-La-Tex Speedway (Vivian, Louisiana) on Saturday evening for the COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) sanctioned Pelican 50.

After recording the fastest time overall in a field of 20 cars, Mitchell streaked to a heat race victory positioning him on the pole for the $4,000-to-win A-Main. Coming one spot shy of a Top-5 finish, Jon dropped five spots in the 40-lapper to place 6th.

April 21, 2018 - Jon Mitchell Competes with WoO Craftsman Late Models
1Friday night found Jon Mitchell in action at Whynot Motorsports Park (Meridian, Mississippi) for the World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series sanctioned weekend. With 39 cars on hand for the two-day Queen City Shootout, Mitchell recorded a 9th place finish in his heat transferring him into the B-Main. Needing to place in the Top-3 to make the opening night feature, Jon logged a 9th place outing.

Returning on Saturday evening for another $10,000-to-win A-Main, Jon placed 7th in his heat giving him one final shot at the finale with a B-Main appearance. Sending the Top-3 into the show, Mitchell recorded a 10th place outing ending his weekend early.

March 23, 2018 - Hard Ride for Jon Mitchell at Old No. 1 Speedway
Making his first start of the season in the Super Late Model ranks, Jon Mitchell headed to Old No. 1 Speedway (Harrisburg, Arkansas) on Friday evening for the COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) opener.

Drawing 27 cars for the $2,000 top prize, Mitchell broke a rear end in his heat race forcing him to pull out his secondary car for the feature. Starting in 20th, Jon had worked his way into the Top-10 and was battling for a Top-5 spot until his right-rear slipped over the cushion on lap 23 sending him on his roof. He was able to walk away from the scary incident unharmed.

March 2, 2018 - Jon Mitchell Goes into Battle with USMTS
1 On Friday night Jon Mitchell followed the United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS) to Kennedale Speedway Park (Kennedale, Texas) for the third round of the Summit USTMS Winter Speedweeks presented by MSD Performance. Holding his spot in his 8-lap heat, Mitchell logged a 5th place finish transferring him into the B-Main. Sending the Top-5 into the opening night feature, Jon landed a runner-up finish behind Chase Allen locking him into the 16th-starting position for the A-Main. Breaking into the Top-10, Jon Mitchell gained eight spots in the 35-lap affair reeling in an 8th place finish.

Mother Nature rained out Saturday and Sunday’s USMTS events at Superbowl Speedway (Greenville, Texas) and Grayson County Speedway (Bells, Texas).

February 24 , 2018 - Jon Mitchell Kicks Off 2018 Campaign
1Jon Mitchell kicked off the 2018 season at South Texas Speedway (Corpus Christi, Texas) on Friday night for the United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS) season opener.

With 26 cars signed in for the 9th annual Summit USMTS Winter Speedweeks presented by MSD Performance, Mitchell secured his spot into the opening night feature with a 2nd place finish in his heat behind Johnny Scott.
