September 18, 2021 - 12th-place finish in Texas Dirt Nationals opener
1Jon Mitchell visited Texas Motor Speedway (Fort Worth, Texas) on Friday afternoon to pilot his W&W Timber No. 5 Late Model for the inaugural Texas Dirt Nationals. Drawing 33 Late Models for the two-day event, Jon edged his way into the opening night feature with the fifth-and-final transfer spot in his heat race. On Saturday evening, Mitchell followed up a sixth-place finish in his heat with a third-place finish in his B-Main. Starting the $50,000-to-win Texas Dirt Nationals finale in 23rd, Jon was an early retiree from the 30-lapper on the 15th circuit.

September 4, 2021 - Pair of Top-5 finishes in LA State Championships at Boothill
1Taking part in the Labor Day weekend doubleheader, Jon Mitchell traveled to Boothill Speedway (Greenwood, La.) on Friday afternoon for the 49th annual Louisiana Dirt Track State Championships. In a field of 16 cars, Mitchell clawed forward one spot in his heat race to finish fifth. Starting the A-Main in 10th, Jon gained five spots in the 20-lapper to place fifth. He trailed Jamie Burford, Brandon Ball, David Winslett and Robbie Starnes across the line.

For the finale on Saturday, Jon’s five-lap dash victory positioned him on the pole for the feature. With $2,000 on the line, Mitchell lost one position in the 30-lap affair to register a runner-up finish. He followed Jamie Burford to the checkers with Kevin Sitton, Chad Dupont, and Brandon Ball rounding out the Top-5.

July 30, 2021 - Mitchell bags fifth win of the season at Texarkana
1Thursday night saw Jon Mitchell return with the Comp Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) at I-30 Speedway (Little Rock, Ark.) for the Rockabilly 45. With 27 Late Models entered, Jon posted a third-place finish in his heat, which positioned him 10th on the starting grid for the opening night feature. With $5,000 on the line, Mitchell was an early retiree from the 45-lapper on lap 22.

1The following night at Texarkana 67 Speedway (Texarkana, Ark.) in his Crate Late Model, Mitchell bested Jamie Burford in his heat before cruising to his fifth win of the season in the feature. He topped Burford, Jarret Stuckey, Clayton Stuckey, and Barron Prince at the line.

July 24, 2021 - Podium finish in Kenneth Mitchell Memorial
1On Friday afternoon Jon Mitchell returned to Texarkana 67 Speedway (Texarkana, Ark.) to kick off the Kenneth Mitchell Memorial, the two-day event honoring his late father. In a field of 25 cars, Mitchell topped the speed charts in time trials before picking up a heat race win.

Earning the pole position for the $5,555-to-win A-Main on Saturday, Jon shot out to an early race lead and paced the field for the first 17 circuits. After Tyler Stevens stole the top spot on the 18th circuit, Mitchell went on to place third in the 55-lapper, which came behind Stevens and Kyle Beard. J.C. Waller and David Winslett completed the Top-5 finishers.

July 16, 2021 - Mitchell back on top at 67 Speedway; Kenneth Mitchell Memorial up next
1Jon Mitchell invaded Texarkana 67 Speedway (Texarkana, Ark.) on Friday night to get one last session in before the upcoming Kenneth Mitchell Memorial. With a second-place finish in his heat race pinning him sixth on the starting grid for the feature, Mitchell held off a charging Clayton Stuckey to secure his fourth win of the season. He finished ahead of Stuckey, Brandon Ball, Kaden Honeycutt, and Jarret Stuckey.

July 9, 2021 - Jon Mitchell notches runner-up finish at Texarkana

July 3, 2021 - Mitchell tops Crate field at Texarkana 67 Speedway
1After Mother Nature postponed Friday night’s Comp Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) event, Jon Mitchell ventured to Texarkana 67 Speedway (Texarkana, Ark.) on Friday afternoon to enter his Crate Late Model into battle. June 26, 2021 - Jon Mitchell rules Crate Late Model foes at Ark-La-Tex Speedway
1Jon Mitchell invaded Texarkana 67 Speedway (Texarkana, Ark.) on Friday afternoon to hop behind the wheel of his Rocket Chassis No. 5 Crate Late Model. In a field of 13 cars, Mitchell jumped two spots in his heat race to place second behind Robbie Starnes. Unable to close the distance on race-long pacesetter Tyler Stevens, Mitchell notched a runner-up finish in the 20-lap feature. Starnes, Jamie Burford, and Brandon Ball rounded out the Top-5.

1The following night at Ark-La-Tex Speedway (Vivian, La.), Jon gained one spot in his heat to pick up the eight-lap victory. Keeping fellow front-row starter Tyler Stevens at bay throughout the 20-lap feature, Mitchell soared to his second win of the season over Stevens, Robbie Starnes, Jamie Burford, and Brandon Ball.

June 12, 2021 - Mitchell races to runner-up finish in Dixie 25 at Chatham

After timing in third fastest in a field of 33 cars, Mitchell gained one spot in the 25-lap affair to place second. May 15, 2021 - Jon Mitchell races to 12th-place finish at Boothill Speedway
1Jon Mitchell was one of 40 Crate Late Models on hand at Boothill Speedway (Greenwood, La.) on Saturday afternoon piloting his Healthcare Express No. 5 Late Model. Following a fourth-place finish in his heat race, Mitchell streaked to a 12-lap consolation victory, which positioned him 17th on the starting grid for the feature. Gaining five spots in the 30-lap affair, Jon scored a 12th-place finish.

May 8, 2021 - Mitchell attends CCSDS doubleheader at Batesville Motor Speedway

April 3, 2021 - Pair of podium finishes at Sabine and Leesville
1Jon Mitchell invaded Sabine Motor Speedway (Many, La.) on Friday night piloting his Healthcare Express No. 5 Crate Late Model. Battling for the win in the feature, Mitchell came up short at the line to place second behind Tyler Stevens, with Brandon Ball rounding out the podium.

The following night at Leesville 171 Speedway (Leesville, La.), Mitchell was standing on the podium at the end of the night, crossing the line in third.

March 20, 2021 - Jon Mitchell finishes 12th in Cow Patty 50 at Old No. 1 Speedway

March 13, 2021 - Mitchell begins 2021 season at Boothill for Ronny Adams Memorial
1After Mother Nature wiped out his original plans a week prior, Jon Mitchell traveled to Boothill Speedway (Greenwood, La.) on Friday night to kick off his 2021 season with the two-day Ronny Adams Memorial. Drawing 34 Comp Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) entries, Mitchell came short of a transfer position in his heat race and B-Main, forcing him to rely on a provisional into the opening night feature. With $3,000 on the line, Jon was the first retiree of the 30-lapper on lap 16.

December 11, 2020 - Jon Mitchell ends 2020 season with three wins
In a year that saw several races cancelled by the Covid-19 pandemic, Jon Mitchell competed in a total of 33 events behind the wheel of his Healthcare Express No. 5 Late Model and Modified entries. He amassed three wins, 15 Top-5 finishes, and 17 Top-10 performances.

November 28, 2020 - Mitchell lands third place finish in Cold Turkey 40 at Boothill
1Jon Mitchell traveled to Boothill Speedway (Greenwood, La.) on Friday afternoon to pilot his W&W Timber No. 5 Crate Late Model for the Cold Turkey 40. Drawing 37 cars, Jon jumped up two spots in his heat race to register a runner-up finish behind Dean Abbey. Starting the $2,000-to-win A-Main in fifth, Mitchell muscled forward two spots to place third behind Morgan Bagley and Rob Litton with B.J. Robinson and Jamie Buford rounding out the Top-5.

October 24, 2020 - Pair of Top-5 finishes in LA State Championships at Boothill
1Hopping behind the wheel of his Healthcare Express No. 5 Crate Late Model, Jon Mitchell invaded Boothill Speedway (Greenwood, La.) on Friday night for the 48th annual Louisiana Dirt Track State Championships. In a field of 33 cars, Mitchell passed four cars in his heat race to pick up the 8-lap victory. Starting the $1,000-to-win A-Main in third, Jon slipped up one spot in the 20-lapper to place fourth behind Jamie Burford, Tyler Stevens, and Kevin Sitton with Morgan Bagley coming in fifth.

With the Top 6 finishers in the feature on Friday night getting locked into a redraw for the finale on Saturday, Mitchell pulled the two. With $2,000 on the line, Jon held his spot for all 40 laps to register a runner-up finish behind Morgan Bagley with Rob Litton, Tyler Stevens, and Jamie Burford rounding out the Top-5.

October 11, 2020 - Race for Hope 71 brings Mitchell to Batesville Motor Speedway
1 Wednesday night found Jon Mitchell in action at Batesville Motor Speedway (Batesville, Ark.) to kick off the fourth annual Race for Hope 71 presented by RaceXR.com. Drawing a stout field of 79 IMCA Modifieds for the three rounds of preliminary features, Mitchell edged his way into the opening night feature with a third place finish in his heat. With the Top 2 finishers getting locked into Saturday night’s main event, Jon gained four spots to register a 17th place outing.

Following a 15th place finish in the feature on Thursday, Jon logged a 17th place outing in Friday night’s feature, giving him one last shot at the $12,000-to-win Race for Hope 71 with a B-Main appearance.

After Mother Nature shifted Saturday night’s program to Sunday afternoon, Mitchell came one spot shy of transfer position in his consolation event with a second place finish.
