Jon Mitchell attends Louisiana State Championship at Boothill

In a field of 20 Comp Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) entries, Jon timed in seventh-fastest in his group before placing second in his heat. With $6,000 on the line in the feature, Mitchell was an early retiree from the 35-lapper on lap 15.
On Saturday, Mitchell edged his way into the $6,000-to-win finale with a fourth-place finish in his heat. Losing three spots in the 40-lap affair, Jon crossed the line in 14th.
