Mitchell drives to 6th-place result at Ark-La-Tex
The Billy Robinson Memorial at Vivian, Louisiana’s Ark-La-Tex Speedway was on the docket for Jon Mitchell and his No. 5 Modified team over the weekend.
After Friday night’s scheduled action was rained out, Mitchell took to the quarter-mile track on Saturday as part of a 26-car USRA Modified field. He claimed the win in his heat race and began the $2,001-to-win A-Main from the fifth position. He came home sixth in the 31-lap race.
